01. The Situation
The owners of Growth Spurt came to InCon with no clarity on the best approach for telling their brand story nor the best marketing channels needed for getting the most exposure. The team struggled with determining whether or not running ads on YouTube or running ads on Facebook was the best option for growth. The team found themselves just winging it.
02. The Solution
The project required InCon to build out brand messaging as well as develop a comprehensive marketing strategy. This would enable Growth Spurt to engage its ideal audience with messaging that would appeal to their specific needs through the best communication/media channels.
InCon followed a very methodological process to create the best brand message and ideal marketing strategy.
- BRAND DISCOVERY WORKSHOP – We conducted a discovery session that took the Growth Spurt Team on a unique journey to determine who they are and the story they wanted the audience to hear.
- THE RESEARCH & DATA – During this phase, we helped Growth Spurt get beyond themselves and understand the market’s perspective, which helped us refine and tailor the messaging.
- MESSAGE DEVELOPMENT – We then took all the information and insights identified during the discovery and research phases to create the perfect brand messaging.

03. The Result
Following our process, we were able to successfully develop a brand message that truly connects. Now the owners of growth spurt have a level of confidence because they know their messaging meets the needs of their audience. In fact, the president had this to say.
“it’s really cool to actually…look at what your brand really is and really what you’re trying to convey and represent…It’s for people to be able to see your position in the market and to be able to see what you really offer and what you stand for and how they can identify you from someone else.”
In addition to the branding, we created an integrated marketing strategy that went way beyond using just social networks to create awareness. It included a solid blend of traditional and digital tactics that would create consistent traffic. The president had this to say.
“Now, the beauty of marketing is when it works, it’s a repeatable process you can do over and over. The difficult part of marketing is figuring out what that thing is or what the strategy is so that I could repeat it over and over and over again. First off, help me to understand that we have to test these strategies. But also, he gave me something that I can test.”
